I know, I know.  As a small business owner you are crazy busy trying to keep up with running the business.  But, in order to grow and maintain your business you need to keep up with your marketing efforts.

5 Small Business Marketing Tips

1. GATHER EMAILS

You should have any client or potential client’s email address.  Even if you are not running any email marketing now, you might someday.  Keep these emails in an Excel file or in your contacts where you can export a CSV file to add into an email marketing service like Mail Chimp.

2. ASK FOR REVIEWS

Good online reviews can bring you tons of business.  When you have a satisfied client, send them a simple email asking them to help you out with an online review or two.  Make it easy for them, and provide the links to your online listings.  You can also ask permission to post these on a testimonial page on your website.

3. GIVE BACK

Donating your time and services to a non-profit or charity is a great way to give back to your community and meet some great people.  I always offer non-profits a discounted rate.

4. CHANGE IT UP

Keep your graphics and content fresh.  Don’t use the same old ad design year after year.

2. LEARN FROM YOUR CUSTOMERS

Bill Gates once said, “Your most unhappy customers are your greatest source of learning.” #truth
